Angola: Minister Highlights First Conference On Higher Education

Luanda — The minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Maria Candida Teixeira, said Wednesday in Luanda, that the First National Conference of the sector assumes of great importance for the sector and the country.

The government minister, who was speaking at the closing ceremony, said that during the three days were discussed themes that will contribute to the enrichment and proper operation of the sector.

The official stressed that the project can be translated into a commitment to improving the quality of teaching and other duties of competence of the sector  institutions.

So she warned each institution must prioritize for compliance with quality standards, with a view for more solid and competitive training for the youth.

The event was attended by the assistant of the President for Social Affairs, Rosa Pacavira, deputies, principals of various universities, diplomats, scholars, students, among other figures.
