Uganda: Lille Sign KKL Product for Sh2.5 Billion

A former Kampala Kids League player Dorian Klonaridis has completed a move to the 2011 French Ligue 1 champions Lille from Greek side AEK Athens.

Lille have paid 800,000 euros (sh2.5bn) to sign Klonaridis, who will now feature in the Champions League next season.

Klonaridis, a Greek-Belgian national, becomes the first KKL player to make it to the biggest competition in club football.

Klonaridis, who played alongside the likes of Sadam Juma (Victoria University), Yayo Lutimba (Express) and Godwin Bbuule (Bunamwaya), was a regular KKL top scorer.

He first joined a KKL Euro tour in July 2003, and went on to establish himself as one of the best players.

"We congratulate him and fully expect the new generation to follow in Viktor Klonaridis' footsteps," read a KKL release
