Khartoum — Sudan's ruling National Congress Party (NCP) on Wednesday ended speculations on the size of the country's upcoming "austerity" cabinet, saying it will be composed of 26 portfolios after the elimination of 9 ministries occupied by NCP members without touching the shares of other parties.
In a meeting chaired by President Omer Al-Bashir in the capital Khartoum, the NCP's leadership bureau decided to reduce the number of ministries from 31 to 26 as well as the number of state ministers to 12.
