Health experts have drawn up draft guidelines for reviewing maternal deaths in hospitals to check the deaths of more than 400 women every year in Nigeria.
The Maternal Death Review (MDR) guidelines proposed by the Society for Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Nigeria (SOGON) are to be presented to the federal health ministry and National Council on Health for adoption as health policy, SOGON President Dr Fred Achem said yesterday in Abuja.
