Rwanda: Loans Can Boost Farming

In order to promote the agricultural sector, farmers need to have easy access to affordable loans.

This will motivate them and improve agriculture.

Farmers are discouraged to visit banks and other microfinance institutions because of the high interest rates that they cannot afford to service.

Once they are given loans at lower interest rates, farmers will be able to transform their agricultural activities - both in quality and quantity - thus boosting household incomes as well as the economy.
