Tunisian-Moroccan Convention On Social Welfare Signed

Tunis — A new convention on social welfare was signed in Rabat, Morocco, during the Tunisian-Moroccan Joint Committee meeting held July 2-4.

The agreement concerns the private and public sector's employees, the self-employed and students.

It stipulates the provision of various social welfare services, notably compensation in case of accident at work and occupational diseases, and a retirement pension, a communiqué of the Social Affairs Ministry made public on Saturday points out.

A draft co-operation agreement in the social welfare field is being examined.
