Angola Lose to Portugal

Lisbon — The national under 16 female basketball team, lost this Sunday, at the first round of VIII CPLP Sports Games, to Portugal by 49-62, in a match disputed at Mafra Sports Park (Portugal).

Despite the defeat, Angola has also the possibility of conquering a medal; since they will still have opponents of their level like Brazil (on 9 July), Mozambique (10) and São Tomé and Príncipe (12).

The Portuguese team beat Sao Tomé and Príncipe (147-8) and Mozambique (91-23), leads the under 16 basketball tournament with six points. Angola is part of group 2 with East Timor and Mozambique.
