Gambia: 10-Year-Old Girl Needs Help

Kaddijatou Jallow, a 10-year-old girl residing at Latrikunda Sabiji is in urgent need of financial support to undergo an overseas treatment. According to a medical report issued from the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH), the patient was presented with a two-week history of fever, throat pain and difficulty in breathing and these were associated with noisy breathing and difficulty in swallowing.

Kaddijatou was first seen at MRC medications given as an outpatient, then three days prior to the presentation she started bleeding from both mouth and nose. On examination she had nasal flasing with congestion, the tonsils were swollen, erythematous with thick secretion and there was slaugh of tissue that spontaneously dropped off from the mouth.
