The Supreme Constitutional Court's verdict to overrule President Mohamed Mursi's decision of reinstating the People's Assembly is void for lack of jurisdiction, the Freedom and Justice Party's website reported Judge Mohamed Gadalla, the president's advisor on legal and constitutional affairs, as saying on Tuesday.

The court overruled Mursi's decision to recall the parliament and ordered the enforcement of its previous ruling to annul the parliamentary elections law.

The presidency's acting spokesperson Yasser Ali announced earlier it abstains from commenting on the constitutional court's ruling.
