Tunisia: U.S. Donates U.S.$100,000 to Sife-Tunisia

Tunis — As part of the American government's commitment to support entrepreneurship and economic development in Tunisia, a donation worth $100,000 was granted recently to the Students in the Free Enterprise Programme (SIFE 2012).

This donation will help, according to a communiqué made public by U.S. Embassy in Tunis, support SIFE's activities in Tunisia and offer Tunisian students the opportunity to take part in the 2012 World SIFE Competition, scheduled for next September 30-October 2 in Washington.

This participation will be an occasion for Tunisian young students and entrepreneurs to present their ingenuity and innovative ideas to business leaders of international renown.

The 2012 SIFE which will be held under the keynote:

"A Head for Business. A Heart for the World," will bring together an international network of more than 3,000 student, academic and business leaders from more than 39 countries, to present the results of their community outreach projects.

SIFE has been operational in Tunisia since 2009 and collaborates with 14 business schools.
