Angola: Researchers Seek Solution to Floods in Cunene

Luanda — National and foreign researchers are since last Wednesday in Ondjiva City, southern Cunene Province, to carry out a sensitisation work with the local population on the danger of floods and study ways to stop it, ANGOP has learnt.

This was announced by the director of the technology and innovation development with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Gabriel Luis Miguel.

According to him, the Ondjiva-Changongo trip and vice-verse served to learn of the physical aspects of Cunene hydrographic basin.

The group also visited the area in which it is located the water supply pumping system for Xangongo City, he said.
