Nigeria: State Govt to Construct Fly-Overs in Kano Metropolis

Kano State Government has concluded arrangements to award a contract for the construction of two fly-overs in the Kano metropolis.

The Public Relations Officer of the state Ministry of Works, Malam Bashir Habib, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Kano.

He said that the contractors had already presented tenders to the ministry.

Habib said that the Commissioner for Works and Housing, Alhaji Abba Kabir, had said that the contract award would follow due process.

He noted that the aim was to fulfil the state government's pledge to decongest the metropolis as soon as possible.

According to him, the two fly-overs will take-off from Zaria Road to Ibrahim Taiwo Road while the other one will extend to IBB Way.
