Judge Maher Sami, deputy head of the Supreme Constitutional Court and its spokesman, denied on Wednesday reports the media attributed to him claiming that "the president does not have the jurisdiction to hold a popular referendum on the constitutional court's ruling to dissolve the People's Assembly."
Sami emphasized he clearly said during his meeting with journalists on Tuesday that "the court ruling in enforceable and there is no need for taking any other procedures, court rulings cannot be put to a referendum", the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported.
