Windhoek — Namibia won the second Silver Pigeon Award for the best national contribution at the 2012 London Festival of Architecture.
The Silver Pigeon Award is awarded as part of the International Architecture and Design Showcase, and the initial contest was clinched by Japan last year. The winners of the Silver Pigeon are selected by a panel of leading international figures in architecture and culture, which analyses projects in search of inspiration and visionary innovative ideas.
