Angola: Zambian Consulate Issues 275 Different Visas

Luena — At least 275 different visas have been issued over the first half of the current year by the Zambian Consulate in eastern Moxico province, said Wednesday vice general Consul, Alice Kango.

Assessing the activities performed in the referred period, the diplomat said that the above number include 55 transit visas, ordinary (89) and business (131).

According to Alice Kango, compared with the last half of 2011, there was an increase of over 50 visas, due to the rehabilitation of the road network.

She stressed that the communities along the border conduct trade exchange and share the same culture (habits and customs).

Some 300 Zambian citizens are registered in the consulate, mostly women married with Angolans.

Angola and Zambia share747 km of border.
