Kenya: Kisumu to Discipline 46 Over Fake Papers

THE Public Service Commission has ordered the Kisumu Municipal Council clerk to discipline 46 officers, who used forged certificates to get employed at the local authority. In a letter to the council clerk Christopher Rusana, the PSC said the decision was arrived at after investigations.

The letter signed by PSC secretary Bernadette Nzioki is copied to the Public Service ministry PS Titus Ndambuki and his Local Government counterpart Karega Mutahi. The commission ordered that 15 officers who failed to present their documents for verification to do so within two weeks. It warned that failure to do, the salaries of the affected officers will be stopped, their names struck off the payroll and disciplinary action taken against them.
