Residents of North Eastern province have been urged to unite in the fight against terrorism. The call comes after the government beefed up security in the region after an attack on two churches recently that claimed the lives of 17 people.
Dubat Ali Amey, the national vice chairman of the Kenya Livestock Marketing Council and director of the Kenya National Federation of Agricultural Producers, asked the residents to volunteer information on criminals in the region. "It is no secret that the government cannot fight crime alone even as 700 security officers are added to the region. It therefore calls for a collaborative effort to eliminate terror," said Dubat.
