Tunisia: Study On Media and Youth

Tunis — The results and the conclusions of a study achieved at the initiative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) on "the representations of children, teenagers and youths in Tunisian media," were presented Thursday in Tunis.

This study was elaborated in light of a media production body covering the 1998-2008 period.

It used three Tunisian weekly and six daily newspapers, in addition to 2,315 editorial units, reports and investigations.

The study focused on the relations of the Tunisian media with youth and vice versa, said UNICEF representative in Tunisia Maria Luisa Fornara, specifying that the aim of this report is to understand the way is presented the voice of young people, identify the risk of misusing information and identify solutions.
