It was an anti-climax Thursday at the House of Representatives as a proposed motion to decide the position of the House on the deployment of troops in Edo State ahead of Saturday's governorship election was withdrawn under controversial circumstances.
The House had on Wednesday resolved to vote on the issue Thursday, but Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the principal figure behind the proposal, suddenly developed cold feet and withdrew from the process.
