Gambia: All Set for Queen of Companies 3rd Edition

The 3rd edition of the yearly Queen of Companies Modeling competition organised by Vision Africa, is scheduled for Saturday 14th July 2012 at the Sunswing Hotel. This annual beauty contest, which is keenly contested among companies, in the recent years has created kind of synergy and good cordial ties among different companies especially those who participate in the event.

Addressing a press conference at the Seaview Hotel, the director of Vision Africa- William Brown, explained that the initiative is trying to bring companies together and strengthen that mutual relationship. Brown further revealed that the opening of the event will be spectacular and entertaining while urging companies to participate en-mass. He explained that this years' event would be in 4 rounds namely- traditional attire, presentation, walk, and natural smile, stressing that winning would not depend on beauty.

"There will be 4winners who would represent the Gambia at 4 different competitions namely 'Miss Global' to be held in Turkey, 'Miss West Africa', 'Miss Tourism' to be held in Asia, and 'Miss Ecowas' to be held in Nigeria respectively. The reps of the involved companies would be trained by Vision Africa up to satisfaction," he stated.

Vision Africa, he explained, is a modeling group of intellectuals who are interested in creating a conducive environment for developing the hidden talent in the society mostly in Africa. He added that they strive to provide the necessary assistance for the less privileged children in terms of education and victims of the unseen circumstances are the beneficiaries as well as combat crime, drug abuse, social unrest to mention a few.
