Angola: Electoral Commission Passes 10,349 Polling Stations

Luanda — The National Electoral Commission (CNE) passed on Thursday a total of 10,349 polling stations, constituted by 25,359 voting posts, ANGOP has learnt.

This was announced by CNE's spokeswoman, Júli Ferreira, at the end of this organ's 7th ordinary session, presided over by the CNE chairman, André Silva Neto.

The source also said that on the mapping of the polling stations was also added and taken into account the total number of voters that is just over 9.7 million citizens.

Júlia Ferrira said that it is a quantitative mapping that sets the location by geographical areas, which means that at the level of the whole of the Angolan territory it was planned the location of the polling stations.

The coming task of the CNE is the preparation of the electoral rolls.
