Angola: Official Stresses Importance of Regional Forum On Traditional Medicine

Luena — The governor of eastern Moxico province, João Ernesto dos Santos "Liberdade", said Friday that the regional forums on Traditional Medicine are important because the Constitution stipulates, among others State key tasks, the improvement of the people health condition.

The official said this at the opening ceremony of regional forum on traditional medicine running in Luena, eastern Moxico province, having underlined that the promotion of the policies allowing a free health aid care are enshrined in Constitution.

João Ernesto dos Santos said to hope that the topics meet the goals guiding the holding of the event, aimed, among other, at equipping the traditional therapists, with a view to better playing their true role.

The event is being attended by vice minister of Media, Miguel de Carvalho "Wadijimbi", the State Secretaries of Agriculture, Amaro Taty, Water Luís Filipe da Silva, vice minister of Education, Ana Paula Inês, government officials from provinces of Moxico, Lunda Norte and Lunda Sul, traditional therapists and guests.
