Egyptian Journalist Released After Morsi, Bashir Meeting

President Mohamed Morsi will return home on Monday 16/7/2012 accompanied by journalist Shaimaa Adel who was held in Khartoum for nearly two weeks, acting presidential spokesman Yasser Ali said.

Earlier Sunday, Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir issued direct orders to security bodies concerned to release Adel. The orders were given in response to a request by President Morsi during a meeting on the sidelines of an African Union summit held in Addis Ababa, the Sudanese radio reported.
