Zambia: Witness Explains Armco's K250 Million, Truck Deal

A WITNESS yesterday told a Lusaka Magistrate's court that he was informed that the K250 million which he lent former managing director Mohammad Patel was meant for workers' salaries and was offset through a Tata truck from the firm.

Irfan Yusuf 35, owner of Saladi House told Lusaka Magistrate Wilfred Muma yesterday that Patel had asked for K250 million which he was supposed to pay back after seven days but when he contacted him for the repayment, Patel offered him a truck as a pay back.
