Angola: Pastor Concerned About Use of Alcohol By Under Aged Children

Matala — The pastor and secretary of Evangelic Church of Angola (IESA), António Binji, manifested in Matala District, Huíla Province, his concern at the use of alcohol by children below the age of 18.

In an interview to ANGOP, António Binji said that the church has knowledge that in some wards and zones of the district, especially at night, the youths are seen consuming alcohol in an exaggerated way.

The pastor stressed that people are affected with illnesses such as tuberculosis and other respiratory infectious diseases.

The pastor pointed out education, academic training and family monitoring as solution to the problem, thus appealing also to parents and guardians in order to create family environments in the evenings as a way to keep them at home.
