Angola: Education Ministry Runs 5th South Cooperation Workshop

Luanda — Luanda is hosting as from Wednesday the 5th South-South Cooperation Workshop on Education and Training for Youths and Adults, under Portuguese Speaking Community (CPLP) protocols.

During the programme, the participants will discuss matters related to education policies in Angola, and the challenges for all, assessment of the implementation of the Belem action mark, articulation between literacy and professional training, experiences on school acceleration and other topics.

The South-South Cooperation Workshop on Education and Training for Youths and Adults is intended to reaffirm education as a right for all.

The inclusion of youths and adults among the priorities of the south-south cooperation in the CPLP, the expansion and foment of the education communities that involve the 240 million Portuguese speaking people are others of the purposes of the event.

The 4th South-South Cooperation Workshop on Education and Training for Youths and Adults from CPLP was held in 2010 in Mozambique.
