Gambia: Taiwan Provides D1.7 Million for Banjul Pump House Renovation

The government of the Republic of China on Taiwan (ROC) through its Banjul Embassy Wednesday presented a cheque for the sum of D1, 739, 200, to the government of The Gambia, for the renovation of the Pump House Station situated at Bond Road in Banjul.The secretary general and head of the Civil Service, Dr Njogou Bah, received the cheque on behalf of the government of The Gambia at a brief presentation ceremony held at State House.

Speaking at the event, Samuel Chen, the Taiwanese ambassador to The Gambia said he was delighted and privileged to present the cheque on behalf of his government. He noted that the Banjul Pump Station is important to people's livelihood. "
