Mogadishu — SAACID organization, in partnership with UN-HABITAT and the Benadir Regional Authority, is publicly announcing a call for expressions of interest in tendering for construction works in Mogadishu City, Somalia.

Subject of the public tender:

Rehabilitation of the Banadir Regional Authority registration and revenue office in Shingani District

This project is funded through the UN Joint Programme on Local Governance & Decentralized Service Delivery.

Criteria for Qualification

Interested contracts will be subject to a technical evaluation procedure. For this purpose, Contractors are obliged to submit the following documents:

a) Copy of business licence and registration with the Ministries of Interior, General Services, and Benadir Regional Administration

b) Comprehensive 5-year company profile, with detailed contact information, details on previous construction projects (including project value, client and location); list of construction equipment (major items of equipment should be owed by company); letters of reference; CVs of technical, supervisory and management staff, etc.

c) Any other documentation that will support a proven track record of quality construction

d) Evidence of registered premises and/or construction yard in Mogadishu City (No shared business premises will be accepted)

Note: Only genuine construction companies are eligible to participate in the tender process

Bid submission process:

The interested parties shall submit a letter of Expression of Interest and the required documents highlighted above in English language. The envelopes should be sealed; and distinctly labelled as: "EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR CONSTRUCTION WORKS AT BRA OFFICE"; and should be delivered in-person to the following address:

Bid submission period:

Document submission duration is one week; beginning from the 18 July 2012 and ending on 24 July 2012; Tender documents will be issued to technically qualified companies only. Financial Bids shall be submitted by 12 August 2012, 12:00 hours.
