Angola: Basketball Team Already At Olympic Village

Luanda — The national female handball team is the first Angolan delegation to arrive Tuesday at the Olympic Village of London Olympic Games2012, for the event to happen from July 27 to August 12 in the British capital city.

The team is led by Anibal Moreira and Elisa Peres, entered the village on Tuesday, after training in Sheffield City.

At the Olympic tournament, Angola is in group A with the United States of America, China, Turkey, Czech Republic and Croatia.

The basketball team debut match is scheduled for 28th of July.

Besides basketball, Angola is present for the eighth time with female handball, canoeing, judo, swimming, athletics and boxing.
