Egypt: Supreme Council of the Armed Forces Head Meets U.S. Centcom Chief

Head of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi met on Wednesday 18/7/2012 with the chief of the United States Central Command (US CENTCOM) James Mattis.

The meeting took up the developments at the regional and international arenas as well as boosting Egyptian-U.S. military relations.

Also, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Sami Anan held talks with Mattis.

Chief of Staff Sami Anan also discussed with Mattis the issues of mutual concern. The meeting was attended by a number of top military brass and the US ambassador in Cairo.
