Egypt: Tantawi - Armed Forces Will Continue Defending the Nation

Head of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi on Thursday 19/07/2012 honored the army commanders who retired on July 1. He awarded them the Order of the Republic, Second Class, in recognition of their loyal service in the Armed Forces.

Tantawi stressed that the Armed Forces will continue defending the nation and preserving the accomplishments of the beloved Egyptian people.

Tantawi paid tribute to those commanders, saying they were up to their responsibilities in preserving the country's security and stability. Chief of Staff Sami Ennan and other military top brass attended the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Tantawi attended the graduation ceremony of the 15th batch of the military technical nursing institute.

The graduates paraded to show their fitness and discipline. Tantawi honored the top graduates wishing them best of luck in their career.
