Egypt: People Ask About Bread, Mursi Promises Solutions

President Mursi has said he is working on establishing new networks of power-saving bakeries to provide bread in big quantities reaching up to one million loaves per bakery.

In his new daily radio programme called "People ask, the president answers", Mursi answered the questions of citizens and replied to their complaints about the poor quality of subsidized bread and its unequal distribution.

The loaf of subsidized bread which costs only five piasters is something we all demand and we need to pay good attention to it, Mursi stated.

Mursi called on owners of bakeries to apply law with "love" and on the Ministry of Supply to apply it "firmly".
