Luanda — Angola is part of the world fastest information and communication technology (ICT) countries in recent years, said Monday in Luanda, the chairperson of the board of directors of the National Institute of Communications (Inacom), Pedro Mendes de Carvalho.
The manager was speaking at the opening ceremony of the Technological Courses at Technological Institute of Telecommunications Training Centre (ITEL), in representation of minister of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, José Carvalho da Rocha.
According to Pedro Mendes de Carvalho, the professional courses run by the centre will benefit all actors and institutions involved in the sector.
In his intervention, the official presented the country's agenda in the field of ICTs, approved in November 2001.
The programme is divided into three phases
The Technological Training Centre is a structure funded by the Chinese company "Huawei" and comprises eight class rooms, laboratory and with a capacity to accommodate 200 trainees.
