Yola — Adamawa State Government said, yesterday, that it will give priority to the construction of roads to link rural areas of the state, adding that 500km roads had been short-listed to that effect.

State Commissioner for Rural Infrastructural and Community Development, Alhaji Aminu Iyawa, who made the disclosure to journalists, said 20 communities had been earmarked to link up the various communities in the three senatorial zones of the state.

Iyawa said government was also poised to extend its rural development to other communities, where abandoned projects were situated.

He said the Ministry had already started the construction of rural roads in five areas of the state.
