Zambia: Developing Manufacturing Industry

GOVERNMENT has in the recent past been finding ways on how best the manufacturing industry could be developed in the country, but the alleged dumping of cheap edible oils on the local market from Tanzania would hurt the local output and consequently stifle the desired expansion growth of the local manufacturing sector.

Let's protect our local market

Briefcase is concerned with the development and advises relevant authorities to ensure that they investigate the matter as soon as possible and protect the local market so as to allow for meaningful growth to be recorded in the sector. There is need to protect the Zambian manufacturing sector.

Decentralisation of PACRA

THE move by the Patents and Companies Registration Agency to decentralise its operations and the opening of a regional branch in Muchinga Province will spur positive business growth in the country. The branch will help open the province to more investment inflows and development. Most importantly, small and medium enterprises in the area will have it easy to register their companies, which is a vital component for business growth.
