Angola: Minister Hands Over Means to Assist Literacy Campaign

Huambo — Angola's Education minister Pinda Simao, delivered Tuesday a vehicle and 8 motorbikes to support the literacy campaign in central Huambo province.

On the occasion, the provincial representative of literacy volunteers in the province, Catumua Francisco, who thanked for the move reiterated, on behalf of others, the commitment to eradicate illiteracy in the short term.

He noted that the development and socio-political and economic growth of the country depends on the eradication of illiteracy and enhance the educational training of people.

Some 707 literacy volunteers are mobilized for the special campaign, launched Tuesday by the Education minister MPinda Simão.
