Some of the 'doom- and- gloom' reports churned out on Kano following the January violent attack on its ancient city, are ironically, not entirely hyperbolic. That they are facts of the matter cannot be easily faulted.
Yet there are also the fictions, and more importantly the "positives", erroneously or deliberately downplayed. This piece seeks to draw attention to this yawned gap between fact and fiction.
