Nigeria: The Sun Editor Shot in Lagos

Lagos — Editor of The Sun newspaper Mr. Steve Nwosu yesterday escaped death by the whiskers when armed robbers shot at him at Mazamaza area of Lagos metropolis.

Though details of his attack were sketchy as time of filing in this report, Daily Trust learnt Nwosu was trailed from a bank where he had gone to withdraw money.

He was said to have been taken to an undisclosed hospital where he is being treated.

The robbers, numbering three, operated from a motorbike.

Lagos police spokesperson DSP Ngozi Braide confirmed the incident. She did not however say if the robbers made away with the cash and that the police are still investigating the matter.
