The final formation of the new cabinet is expected to be ready by Friday as features of this formation have begun to take shape in a number of ministries, newly-appointed Prime Minister Hisham Kandil said on Thursday.

The formation will be presented to President Mohamed Mursi on Saturday.

Some of the current ministers will join the new cabinet after confirming their wish to continue in their posts and their ability to deliver in order to implement the president's electoral programme, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported Kandil as saying.

The chief features of this new cabinet is that it groups a team that can work together and is able to realise the goals of the revolution because efficiency is the first criterion for selecting the ministers in agreement with the president since he is the head of the executive authority, Kandil stated.

"Women are present in the new formation especially since Egypt has many women who are highly efficient," Kandil added.

There are no possibilities of merging the ministries of irrigation and agriculture together since they both have big responsibilities and people expect tangible achievements from them, he said.
