New tracks from Kenya and beyond are raising the heat in the continent, a true testament that the country and Africa at large are spreading their musical wings nice and wide.

They say Ladies first, so I shall kick it off with Fena Gitu's newest single Africa Massive. The cover photo is as funky as the music itself, where her sultry voice dances on the beats put together by Jaaz Odongo.

Next up is the more sober and thought provoking Juliani, who teams up with US Gospel artist Anthony Faulkner.

The song is 'Connections' and the message is that all humanity is equal, regardless of creed, race, ethnicity and nationality.

The video was shot in May, when Faulkner was in the country to do some work and attended the Groove Awards too.

Further west, Nigerian musician Praiz has released his latest track Rich and Famous with a vocal delivery very akin to that of RnB superstar John Legend.

"When I become rich and famous, all these faces will know who I am because I'll be a superstar", he says in his latest single, which needs no second opinion.

Produced by Cobhams Asuquo the song has earned him a glowing review by X3M Group CEO Steve Babaeko: "When I heard the song, I immediately gave it thumbs up, his vocal delivery on this track is a strong reminder of why I signed him!"
