Zimbabwe: Mugabe to Grace Lusaka Show

ZIMBABWEAN President Robert Mugabe is expected to grace this year's 86th Agricultural and Commercial Show in Lusaka which opens its gates to the public next week on Thursday.

Agricultural and Commercial Society of Zambia (ACSZ) president Joseph Mwale announced during a media briefing yesterday that President Mugabe had been invited to officially open the Show.

He said the official opening would be held on Saturday next week and had attracted more than 1,000 foreign and local exhibitors.

The ACSZ is expected to spend more than K4 billion to host this year's commercial show.

And ACSZ show convener Murray Anderson said during the same briefing preparation for stands were advancing well and that most exhibitors had completed preparation of stands.

He said an Open Market had been created for street vendors and that the Society would not allow street vending.
