Egypt: Yasser Ali - Clean Country Campaign Aims At Removing Garbage, Combating Corruption

Presidential Spokesman Yasser Ali said the current cleaning campaign in Egypt which was launched on 27/7/2012 under the rubric "clean country" will continue.

He said President Mohamed Morsi has thanked all those who have taken part in the campaign from local and executive bodies, ministries, governors, NGOs, national powers, political parties and media.

He said the campaign is a short term solution adding we shall adopt far reaching solutions represented in collecting garbage from districts and recycling garbage with the aim of generating economic revenue.

He said the president also follows up the file of traffic and gave directives to the bodies concerned to put an end to bottlenecks in some areas. The presidential spokesman said the president followed up the file of electricity and overloads during the holy month of Ramadan.
