Rwanda: James Is Guma Guma King

King James was crowned the Primus Guma Guma Superstar season 2 winner after beating Jay Polly. Bralirwa managing director Jonathan Hall announced the winner after the final performance by the American star Jason De Rule.

A big crowd turned up at Amahoro stadium to be part of the final show as the two musicians battled it out for the crown and cash prize of Frw 24 million.

People turned up in huge numbers, to the extent that the crowd that remained outside was as big as those who managed to enter. Some climbed on the roof tops and balconies of buildings facing the stadium to get a glimpse of what was going on.

Season one winner Tom Close kicked off the performances before the two finalists, King James and hip hop singer Jay Polly, followed by Jason De Rule, after which fireworks closed the show.
