Nigeria: Sokoto - Police Repel Attack On Another Station

Sokoto — An attempt to bomb another police station in Sokoto on Monday evening was prevented by policemen.

The police station, situated around Arkilla area in Sokotoo metropolis was attacked around 7pm in the evening.

Residents reported sporadic shooting and many scampered for safety as the gunmen and police officers exchanged gunfire.

There are however no details on casualties yet.

Earlier in the day, two suicide bomber attacked the Zonal Police Command and a building belonging to the Police Officers Wives Association.

A Police corporal and a female saloon operator died in the attacks.
