Angola: Luena City to Have House of Culture

Luanda — A House of Culture, aimed for the promotion, valorisation and divulgence of cultural heritage in the eastern Moxico province, is being built in Luena city by the local government.

This was said to journalist on Monday by the director of the provincial studies and planning office, Hélder Kahilo.

According to him, this initiative intends to gather local great talents in just one venue, where they may present their works and interact with citizens.

Hélder Kahilo defended that the population of Moxico province has as characteristic the preservation and valorisation of what they do and this is why this house of culture is being constructed for the conservation of local cultural works.

He said that the House of Culture will comprise a lecture theatre, a hall of arts for exhibition, kiosks, shops, bar and other services.

The director said that house will gather necessary services in an infrastructure of this kind.
