Egypt, Tunisia Agree to Activate 'Cairo Declaration'

Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr said he agreed with his Tunisian counterpart Rafik Abdesslem on activating the "Cairo Declaration" during a meeting on Monday 30/7/2012.

In statements following the meeting, Amr said the talks took up means to carry out the agreements reached during a three-way meeting that grouped the foreign ministers of Egypt, Tunisia and Libya on Sunday through the formation of technical committees.

The meeting also underlined the importance of convening the high Egyptian-Tunisian committee later this year, which has not met since 2010, he said.
