Egyptair Employees Say No to Strike

A group of EgyptAir employees issued a statement today announcing their rejection to strike calls and insisting on the importance of hard work in light of the challenging conditions Egypt is facing.

The staff members added that they are keen on "working, pushing the production wheel forward, committing to the nation and all workers around the world and granting President Mohamed Mursi and the new government a chance to accomplish the first-100-days plan", reported the Middle East News Agency.

The statement argued that those who are calling for the strikes are a small minority that only represents itself and not the rest of EgyptAir employees.

The number of supporters behind the statement is unclear as the number of those calling for the strike.

According to the state's news agency, EgyptAir includes more than 33 thousand employees and represents 90 percent of Egypt's civil aviation labor force.
