Nigeria: FCMB Declares N6.7 Billion Profit at Half Year

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Plc has announced gross earnings of N52.555 billion for the second quarter (Q2) ended June 31, 2012, indicating an increase of 56.6 per cent over N33.549 billion earned in the corresponding period of 2011. Profit after tax stood at N6.718 billion compared with N5.319 billion earned in the corresponding period of 2011.

According to results released on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) yesterday, its annualised Return on Equity (ROE) increased from 7.4 per cent in 2011 to 10.2 per cent.
