Algeria: Arrest of Sudanese, Moroccan Nationals Attempting to Cross Illegally Border On Way to Nation

Jendouba — Officers of the Tabarka land-border brigade of the National Guard, assisted by the National Army units, arrested, on Tuesday, two young men, a Sudanese and a Moroccan, who entered illegally into the Tunisian territory and were attempting to cross illegally the Tunisian territory in the Melloula area, near Tabarka.

Security sources told TAP correspondent in Jendouba that the Sudanese and Moroccan nationals had managed to enter the country illegally from the south and that they were planning to head for Algeria. Investigation is underway to know about the real reasons behind this illegal crossing.

The same source pointed out that the security campaigns and patrols had been stepped up along the land border with Algeria, which helped bring the situation under control in the Jendouba governorate.
