Angola: Defence Minister Unveils Football Fields of '1º De Agosto' Club

Luanda — Angolan defence minister Cândido Van-Dunem Wednesday in Luanda inaugurated two new football fields to accommodate "1º de Agosto" club and a multi-purpose court for room sports.

The inauguration is part of the festive activities of the 35th anniversary of the military club, on August 01.

After the inauguration ceremony the minister, who was accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) Geraldo Sachipengo, toured the sporting venues located in RI/20.

The official was informed on methods of operation and about the various stages of construction.

As a tribute to two figures in the club, the football grounds were baptized with the names "Daniel Ndunguidi" and Nicola Berardineli."The first is the main reference of the club in terms of football and won several trophies as a player and coach.

Attended the event government officials, officers and guests.
